looking
your best
If your ambition is to drop a few kilos by the time you walk down the aisle, start as early as possible with a sensible exercise and eating program – don’t be tempted to crash diet at the last minute.
-
Regular cleansing, toning and moisturising in the months leading up to your wedding should help get your skin in tip-top shape. Start regularly exfoliating those parts that will show when you’re wearing your dress, such as your back, arms and chest.
-
Many brides go for a professional make-up artist for their big day. Make sure you have a rehearsal so your beauty professional can get to know you and so you are happy with the look. Make sure all your eye make-up is waterproof – you’re bound to spend at least part of the day crying and you don’t want to end up with panda eyes!
-
Likewise with your hair – have a full test run well before your wedding day. Don’t rush too early into a decision about whether to have your hair up or down – wait until you have decided on the dress as that will dictate your style for the day more than anything.
-
On the day, get someone you trust to keep an eye on you – it could be your mum or a best friend. Their job is to let you know when you need to touch up your make-up. That way you will always look your best.
-
Relax! If you feel stressed it will be really obvious to your guests – and also show up in the photographs. You’ve done everything you can to make the day a success, now all you have to do is chill out and enjoy it!
