get me to the church...

The way you travel on your big day says a lot about your own personal style – in fact there are almost as many different kinds of wedding transport as there are brides.

Boats, horse-drawn carriages and even bicycles made for two it’s all been done before. In fact, the possibilities are limited only by your imagination.

Of course, one of the best and most luxurious options remains the traditional limousine.

You get that celeb-for-a-day feeling as you travel between wedding venue and reception with the rest of the bridal party – and you can grab a glass of that all-important champagne as you go!

When booking wedding cars it’s important to view the vehicles rather than just rely on the pictures in the brochure. And make sure you have all the details such as addresses and times written down so there’s no room for last-minute glitches. And while it’s not going to happen to you, make sure there is a contingency plan in place should your wedding transport happen to break down or have a bingle.

Once you have transport for the bride and groom sorted out, make sure you don’t leave the rest of your guests in the lurch – especially if some are elderly or disabled.

The usual courtesy is to arrange transport such as a minibus to get them from the wedding venue to your reception and, in some cases, even from their hotel to the wedding.
